Thursday February 17: CCRMC and HC Town Hall Today at Noon

Greetings,

There has never been a more exciting time to work in health care, nor a more challenging one. We are on the precipice of national health care reform while forced to work with a state and local budget that challenges us to find new ways to meet our mission; to care for and improve the health of all people in Contra Costa County with special attention to those who are most vulnerable to health problems.

It is with this in mind that I invite you to a Town Hall meeting at CCRMC in Building One, Conference Room One at 12:00 noon tomorrow, Thursday February 17. I will open phone lines to all Health Centers across the county using the Noon-Conference dial-in numbers.

I plan to provide updates and time for discussion on the following:
• Proposed budget submission

CMS "bridge to reform," delivery system reform incentive pool (DSRIP)

• Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordered Sustainability Study of Contra Costa County Regional Medical Center (Hospital) and Health Centers (Clinics), which is currently under way
Please join me for this important discussion.

More very soon,
Anna

  1. I couldn't come to the hospital but called in. Thank you for telling us what is happening. It's been very stressful for us.I never considered the view you offered. I feel proud to work here.

  2. Anna, thank you for another opportunity to share and learn with you and your staff about the condition of our healthcare system in Contra Costa County. To tackle the difficult questions of the budget and the sustainability audit in such a transparent manner was reflective of your leadership and your vision for our public system. This process not only promotes learning but pride of service as well.

We know there are difficult challenges before our local, state, and national communities to ensure the most vulnerable are protected. The CMS "bridge to reform," delivery system reform incentive pool (DSRIP) offers new and exciting opportunities to serve this community and support the Contra Costa Health Services awesome mission.

Through times of challenge and great change you and your staff again give me hope. I am honored to sit among you and serve with you in partnership.
